I have to admit it – I hate journaling.  I know the benefits. I understand that it will keep me honest.  I am a firm believer in the idea.  But I suck at it!

I have always admired those people that can sit daily and jot down their thoughts in a book or track their life in on an app.  I am not so good at that.  So admittedly my journalling as nowhere complete over this past week.  That being said I was very faithful to the protocol and the results speak for themselves.

This week I lost 13.7 pounds.  Now let’s break this down as that is not a unexpected number for a guy my size.  I lost 1.2% in fat.  That is a huge number for any week.  I also lost 3.5 pounds of muscle but that is to be expected in the first week as the system struggles to differentiate between muscle and water.  The better way to look at it is that I lost 5.2 pounds of lean mass.  That would be a mix of water and muscle – but mostly water.  So what that means is that I lost  a full 8.5 pounds of fat this week – love it.

I will keep you updated as I go but to this point it’s looking good.
